“Dyeing” is the daily bathing ritual used by members of the Nazarani Church in the Nazarani Rite.

This service of bathing is required in order for the faithful to enter the sanctuary of the church and receive the eucharist. In this way it is different from the baptismal service which was the primary sacrament of the Novatians and Valentenians, since we also practice the eucharist, and because we do not consider the rshma a sacrament. Because the rshma is not required for salvation, it cannot be regarded as a "baptism for forgiveness of sins".
