This Aramaic rank of initiation corresponds more or less to the “catechumenate” of the western churches; and are those uninitiated persons who have a strong desire to learn and become part of the Qyrgma (“flow of”) the Nazarayeem. The Aelon are said to be standing at the entry to the "baba nazaranayin"; which means “Gate of the Nazarani” or, “the gate of the branches”. Of course the way of admittance into the sanctuary of YAH (God) is through baptism, which normally occurs only after one year studying as an Aelon.
